چکیده

Background: Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), known as Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19), has caused the sixth world’s public health emergency. Healthcare staff, frontline population fighting pandemic, are exposed to a high risk of infection. Therefore, developing protective intervention for medical staff is significant importance. Objective: The aim study was explore effectiveness and safety recombinant human interferon alpha (rhIFN-?) nasal drops prevention disease 2019 (COVID-19) through administering it staff. Methods: This prospective open-label clinical trial with parallel assignment conducted on 2944 including both doctors nurses from Taihe Hospital, Shiyan City, Hubei Province, China January 21, 2020 July 30, 2020. participants were bifurcated into two groups low according level direct exposure COVID-19 patients. individuals low-risk group received rhIFN-? one month in addition first protection, high-risk combination coupled thymosin-?1 either second or third-level protection protocol. Moreover, new-outset pneumonia diagnosed by chest computed tomography (CT), after thirty days, primary outcome. adverse reactions recorded all participants.
